Guiding Principles for Water Management Planning
This document sets out Guiding Principles for the water management planning process in Tasmania.
The Guiding Principles describe how the requirements of the Water Management Act 1999 are addressed in the planning process and provide a clear and consistent approach to addressing planning matters that are not prescribed by the Act.
The document has been written for DPIPWE water management planners and our stakeholders who have an interest in water management planning in Tasmania.
An overarching theme of the Guiding Principles is that DPIPWE will work with our stakeholders to develop water management plans that take account of local knowledge and local conditions.
