Geomorphological Evolution of the Prion Beach & New River Lagoon Beach Barrier System
The Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area contains one of the longest temperate zone wave dominated coasts in the world having negligible disturbance from human activities other than global sea level rise associated with a changing climate. This report documents the geomorphological evolution of the Prion Beach and New River Lagoon beach barrier system, one of the largest spits in Tasmania. The report was completed for DPIPWE's Geoconservation Section by Phil Cullen and Mat Dell.
