A total of $90 000 is available for investment in projects that will increase the availability and viability of pollination services in Tasmania.
Many of Tasmania’s high-value crops depend on honey bees for their pollination, and many of those industries are seeking to grow. This expansion needs to be supported by viable pollination services, and the development of this market in Tasmania faces some challenges.
Bee Industry Futures Report
recommended that small grants be made available for research and innovative projects that deliver sustainable industry growth. This program will prioritise funding for projects to address these challenges and assist growth of the pollination services market.
Applications for the Small Grant Program closed on 9 September 2021 and the submissions recieved will be examined by the Assessment Panel.
