Land use mapping

The Tasmanian land use mapping program maps the State at catchment scale according to the national guidelines (ABARES 2011, 2015) and the Australian Land Use Management (ALUM) Classification system. The promotion of the development of nationally consistent land use information is through the Australian Collaborative Land Use and Management Program (ACLUMP) coordinated by Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resources Economics and Sciences (ABARES) which is overseen by the National Committee of Land Use and Management Information (NCLUMI) of which DPIPWE is a partner.
