New Simplified Licence Requirements for Industrial Hemp

AgriGrowth Tasmania in consultation with the Industrial Hemp Association of Tasmania and the Tasmanian Farmers and Graziers Association have compiled a new streamlined and simplified licencing process which reflects the legislative requirements of the Government's new Industrial Hemp Act 2015 and its supporting regulations.

There are now two licences only, these being:

  • To Grow or Cultivate Industrial Hemp; and
  • To Buy and Sell Industrial Hemp Seed.

Both licences are for a five (5) year period.

To obtain a licence to Grow or Cultivate Industrial Hemp and/or a licence to Buy or Sell Industrial Hemp Seed the following Application for a Licence Form needs to be completed and returned to AgriGrowth Tasmania.
