Assessment of the National Land Salinity Indicators in Tasmania
Four indicators have been developed for the evaluation and monitoring of land salinity in Australia. These are:
- depth to groundwater
- groundwater salinity
- baseflow salinity
- and location, size and intensity of salt-affected areas.
This is the full report for the 2006 National Land and Water Resources Audit-commissioned Tasmanian project to trial the applicability of the recommended national indicators and protocols for the evaluation of land salinity.
The project used existing data from the Back Creek catchment for the trial.
